Google WordPress Plugin

The Google WordPress plugin is an official Google product developed and supported by Google – which is why I’m keeping my eye on it.   You can download it now at the WordPress plugin directory:  Google Publisher Plugin.

Google WordPress Plugin Beta Functionality

This beta version of the Google Publisher Plugin allows you to:

  • Easily add AdSense ads to your site to make money from advertising.
  • Verify your site with Webmaster Tools with just one click.
  • Manage your AdSense account and access Webmaster Tools from the plugin.
  • Click to add advertisements to your site.
  • Create different placements for each page template.
  • View the layout for each page, with advertisement areas visualized next to your content flow.
  • Preview example advertisements alongside your content.

Today, we’re excited to share the beta release of our official Google Publisher Plugin, which adds new functionality to publishers’ WordPress websites. If you own your own domain and power it with WordPress, this new plugin will give you access to a few Google services — and all within WordPress.[/dropshadowbox]

hmm…..I wonder what other Google products they will be integrating into this Google WordPress plugin.  Here is a screen shot of the plugin in the WordPress dashboard.
